How to Make Irish Nachos
To make Irish Nachos this St. Patrick’s Day, you will need six medium-sized potatoes, two cups of grated cheese, around eight slices of bacon, olive oil, sour cream, chives, and salt and pepper.
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit or 230 degrees Celsius. To make Irish Nachos, cut your potatoes into thick slices, each measuring a thickness of around ¼ inch. Place your potato slices in a bowl and add olive oil, salt and pepper, tossing the ingredients so that each slice is well-covered. Place your potato slices on a foil-lined baking tray in the oven and cook for around 20 minutes.
Take your potato slices out of the oven and then layer the slices into a shallow dish, sprinkling cheese and bacon liberally across the top of the potato slices. Bake your dish for around five minutes. Once the cheese and bacon are nicely browned, take your dish out of the oven and top your Irish Nachos with sour cream and chives.
